Working locally
Pull a site's code, run it on your machine, and push your changes back.
Every site is a real Vite + React project in a git repository. You can work on it on your own machine with your own editor, then push it back.
Pull the code
memcode websites pull crumb
cd crumbA site has code to pull once it has been built at least once.
Run it
memcode websites devThis starts the site's real dev server with hot reload, and serves your
uploaded assets at the same /assets/<name> addresses as the live site. To run
a site without pulling it first, pass its name: memcode websites dev crumb.
Change it with memcode
Run memcode inside the pulled directory and ask for changes the same way you
would in the web app. It works on the site with the same rules the hosted
builder uses.
Push and publish
memcode websites push # upload your changes and rebuild the preview
memcode websites open crumb --preview
memcode websites publish # make the preview livePush rebuilds the preview from your code. As with any build, nothing goes live until you publish. Like building from a prompt, pushing is available to preview accounts while Websites is in preview.
