Admin chat

Configure your agents and gateway by talking to memcode.

Everything on this page's siblings can be done by hand. memcode admin does it by conversation:

memcode admin

It opens the same terminal session as memcode, but it is the control room, not a coding session. Ask about your setup and change it in plain language:

  • "who is allowed to message the bot on telegram?"
  • "make me a research agent on Telegram that only Alice can use"
  • "every weekday at 9am, summarize yesterday's commits and send it to my telegram"
  • "when someone new emails the bot, what happens?"
  • "approve the pending pairing request"
  • "give my coder agent a rule: always answer in bullet points"
  • "install the gateway as a background service"

Every change is shown to you for approval before it is made, and the running gateway picks changes up within seconds. It can also read and edit your agents' identities, memory, and skills.

Two things stay outside this chat on purpose. Bot tokens and passwords are never typed here; connecting a channel's credentials stays in memcode gateway setup. And coding stays in the normal memcode session; the admin chat will point you there.

If you are not signed in yet, it can also tell you the ways to connect a model (a Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot, or Grok subscription, your own key, or a hosted account) and give you the exact command for each.
